Viceroy Renovates Villas Adding a New Class

/ at Riviera Maya Resort

Located on the white sands of the Riviera Maya in Playa Del Carmen the Viceroy Riviera Maya -designed by AI Arquitectura de Interiores- is a beachfront luxury resort. It has a full service luxury spa, an award-winning restaurant and lounge featuring “Mayaterranean Cuisine,” seven-miles of white-sand beach, and trips to nearby ancient cities and ruins. The resort has several types of Villas all in harmony with their jungle and sea environment. The Luxury Villas have been recently renovated finishing a process started four years ago.

The new guest accommodations have 1,400 sq ft (130 sq m) of indoor and outdoor living space. The interiors have high ceilings with thatched palapa roofs. Bathrooms feature deep, freestanding soaking tubs with a view through a glass wall to a private garden that includes an outdoor rain shower. Outside, private patios offer sundecks, hammocks and heated plunge pools.

Additional amenities include dressing areas with his and hers closets, a pillow menu, a soap concierge offering handmade organic soaps, and butler service.

The resort still has 41 villas, as these new villas replace the five original Luxury Villas. No changes have been made to the resort’s physical layout.
